Information We Collect
CGLive collects only the minimum data necessary to provide its live streaming functionality. We do not collect, store, or process sensitive personal information beyond what is described below.
YouTube Account Data — When you connect your YouTube account to enable live streaming, CGLive requests access to specific YouTube API scopes. This may include:
- Your YouTube channel identity (to authenticate your stream)
- Live stream keys and broadcast configuration data
- Real-time stream metrics (viewer count, likes) displayed in the live dashboard
- Live chat messages from your active broadcast
Stream Keys (Facebook & Twitch) — Stream keys for Facebook and Twitch are entered manually by you and are transmitted directly to those platforms via RTMP. We do not store these keys on our servers beyond the active session.
Technical Data — We collect basic technical information such as device type and Android version solely for app performance and crash diagnostics. This data is not linked to your identity.
Use of YouTube API Services
CGLive uses the YouTube API Services to enable you to stream directly to your YouTube channel. By using this feature, you are also agreeing to be bound by:

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only request YouTube API scopes necessary for live streaming functionality
- YouTube data is used solely to provide the in-app streaming features you requested
- We do not use YouTube data for advertising or to sell to third parties
- We do not allow humans to read your YouTube data unless required for security, legal compliance, or with your explicit permission
Revoking Access: You can revoke CGLive's access to your Google account at any time by visiting Google Account Permissions.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect exclusively for the following purposes:
- Authenticating your YouTube account to enable live streaming
- Configuring and managing your live broadcast sessions
- Displaying real-time stream statistics (viewers, chat, likes) in the dashboard
- Delivering StreamElements alerts via WebSocket connection
- Diagnosing app crashes and improving performance
We do not use your data for targeted advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the CGLive streaming service.
Data Storage & Security
Any data processed by CGLive is stored on a secure backend infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit.
We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial purposes. Data shared with Google/YouTube is governed by Google's own privacy policy and is not within our control once transmitted.
Stream keys and authentication tokens are stored securely and are accessible only to you. We do not have access to your raw stream keys.

CGLive integrates with the following third-party platforms. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data you share with them directly:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.
App Permissions Explained
CGLive requests the following Android permissions, used solely for streaming functionality:
- Camera — For the picture-in-picture camera overlay during streams
- Microphone — To capture your voice commentary during live streams
- Screen Capture (MediaProjection) — To capture your gameplay for streaming
- Storage (Read) — To load overlay images, GIFs, and videos you select
- Internet & Network State — To transmit your stream to live platforms
- Foreground Service & Wake Lock — To keep the stream active while you use other apps
- Notifications — To provide stream status alerts
No permission data is recorded, stored, or transmitted beyond what is required to deliver the feature it enables.
Children's Privacy
CGLive is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of CGLive after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
